How Is Candida Treatment Like Gardening? Embrace a Process, Never "One and Done."

We are always happy to answer questions from our current (and future!) customers. We frequently get questions and comments like these:

  • I bought a box of ThreeLac and took it like you said. I felt a little better but then I felt worse than ever!

  • I don’t understand why I have to go on this long course. Don’t you have something that can just “cure” the Candida in a month or two?

  • Once I start taking this, it’s like I have to keep taking it to feel OK. What’s the deal? Am I now “addicted” to ThreeLac™?

These are all good questions, however, what they all have in common is an incorrect understanding of what Candida is and how to treat it. Please read on for a better understanding of Candida treatment. We've learned from experience and we want to help.

Candida is not a “disease” that can be “cured.” It is an imbalance in your body, primarily the gut, and it requires an on-going treatment plan.

Everyone has Candida yeast. You are supposed to! But when outside factors interfere—things like too many antibiotics, steroids, hormone or blood sugar fluctuations, or a diet high in sugars and refined carbohydrates—this normal yeast becomes fungal and overgrows (think of the way the invasive kudzu plant overruns gardens in the American South).

What Does Successful Candida Treatment Look Like?

Please allow us to explain how ThreeLac™ and Candizolv™ can control your Candida symptoms with a metaphor or two.

For example, imagine that you have just moved into a new house, and you notice right away that the yard has been neglected. And you can also see that this yard has some great possibilities! You spend a lot of effort—a lot!—several weekends in a row, mowing and edging the lawn, pulling weeds out of the flower bed, pruning the shrubs, killing the poison ivy that has crept in, repairing the fence and the broken patio stones. Finally, it looks GREAT! Whew, you say, I’ll never have to do THAT again!

But wait. Several weeks later, the weeds are back, that darn vine is obscuring the fence again, and the lawn really, really needs mowing . . .

Your intense weekends could be compared to your first, more intense courses of ThreeLac™ and Candizolv™. In this case, it may take several months to create the microbiotic “garden” in your body that will support optimum health. But just like the gardener who thinks he or she is "once-and-done," you need to offer some maintenance. Once you have things under control, one ThreeLac™ a day (for some people, even less) should do the trick, and a Candizolv™ cleanse twice a year can be compared to your big cleanups in the Spring and Fall.

Maybe you don’t have a yard or garden, but we all need to take care of the inside of our house. Think about Spring cleaning, when you go after the dust in every crack and corner, wash the windows, scrub the grout, etc. But if you stop there, every day, just the simple act of living will add dust to the corners, lint on the carpet, yuck in the tub and toilet.

Or, to cite another example, if you want to learn a sport or how to play an instrument, there is a lot of effort at first. Each time you start to master a new skill, there are good days and bad days, ups and downs; AND then you still have to keep up your practice.

Both initial effort and maintenance are needed!

It’s the same way with Candida treatment: healing is not a one-time event. It is a commitment over time that will have its ups and downs, including the initial detox phase.
